I just read that Donald Trump and his circus took down a website called reproductiverights.gov

This was a website to help women learn about their reproductive rights in the US and to find health care.

This is absolutely disgusting so I’ll share in this post some resources in case you need them:

They didn’t introduce a bill to just repeal the $35 cap on insulin.

They introduced a bill to repeal the entire Inflation Reduction Act.

Which, among other things, means they want to get rid of:

  • the $35 insulin cap.
  • And a yearly cap of $2,000 for medications in Medicare Part D.
  • And allowing Medicare to negotiate for drug prices.
  • And requiring pharma companies to issue refunds to Medicare if the costs of their drugs rises faster than inflation
  • And an elimination of copays in Medicare Part D for vaccines like tetanus and rabies
  • And an expansion of eligibility for low-income subsidies for Medicare

Saying they want to eliminate just the insulin cap is understating their desire to fuck people over.

Hi I’m one of the Americans that transferred to Rednote as word of Tiktok shutdown got around. I just wanted to drop by and show everyone a comparison that is WILD to me.

These are all in Yuan, the local currency. A buck, two bucks, six bucks… that seems really nice.

And then you pop it in U.S dollars.

14 cents. 14 cents for food.

So seeing the difference there, I got curious and made a post asking the netizens how much they typically pay for things, and I asked for how much my meds would cost. These answers are eye opening.

Eleven Yuan.

A dollar and two quarters.

Without insurance, my meds are 400 bucks in U.S currency.

There’s no excuses for this. No excuse for why anyone should have to live like this.
