I don’t watch Wrestling nor Japanese Wrestling but sometimes I come across photos and they do very specific things to my brain I can’t identify

another one

I agree with this. I don’t see myself ever really getting into Japanese pro wrestling, but the magical girl-influenced characters do intrigue me.

Both images above feature the wrestler, Mizuki, and these aren’t even the only dynamic photos of her!

And then there’s her signature move: Whirling Candy 🍭 🍬

Every image of her looks like a painting

Calling all Brits on this hellsite.

We all saw Elon Musk do the nazi salute at the Trump inauguration. We know that he is influencing and fanning the flames of right wing political parties.

And that very well may include ours.

Because Elon Musk has pledged to donate $100 million to the Reform party. He has since mentioned that it might be hard to give such a large sum now.

But I don’t think we should take our chances. And I think we can agree that letting billionaires influence our countries politics is a terrible idea.

If you also agree here’s a link to a Parliament petition.

It calls for the government to remove loopholes that allow wealthy foreign individuals to make donations into UK political parties (e.g. by funnelling through UK registered companies).

As it is a parliament petition the government are required to debate it in parliament. But for that to happen it needs to reach 100,000 signatures.

Non British folk I’m afraid you guys can’t sign but I encourage you guys to reblog so that more people can see this.

“girl dinner” “girl math” “i’m just a girl” okay but I am an adult I am six feet tall I am loud as fuck I take up space I am smart and capable. So are you. Why would we want to laugh at jokes where the punchline is that women aren’t? Why would we want to make jokes about being small and childish and incapable? Who do you think laughs at those jokes the loudest?

imo it’s not that deep, or it wasn’t that deep when these jokes were only between women, particularly friends. if i go to goodwill and spend $50 and say “haha girl math!” to my friend who also spent too much money at goodwill, it’s because i’m filled with the joy of acquired trinkets & excited to take them home with me. it doesn’t mean i don’t understand the value of $50, it doesn’t mean i didn’t have $50 to spend. it has nothing to do with girls = dumb because girls already know they’re not dumb. then men got ahold of it and now i can’t say “haha girl dinner” on a pic of diet coke and weed without some idiot accusing me of bimbofying drug addiction or whatever the fuck because they saw a meme post, assuming i have diet coke and weed for dinner every day, but have no idea i actually had a popeye’s 3-piece w/mac & cheese. and a diet coke.

If you spend too much money shopping and decide to blame that on you being a girl as an adult, own it. That’s what you’re doing. You are the one putting that idea out into the world and normalizing it in your social circle. You know you’re not dumb, but “‘girl math’ is when you spend too much money shopping” is not a statement that anyone can make without misogynistic social consequences. If you wanna die on this hill for your right to make sexist jokes go for it, but you are responsible for those consequences as much as anyone else.

It IS that deep, and you know it’s that deep because when you hear men make those jokes you get the appropriate level of angry. Why do YOU want to make jokes where the punchline is that the only math women can do is be bad at budgeting? What do you get out of that?

“misogyny is okay as long as its between women”

This actually was a thing that was codified into law, in 1972, by a Democratic-controlled congress, the Equal Employment Opportunity Act. The Democrats recognized that the original Executive Order could easily be repealed by a subsequent president’s EO, so they spent the next decade pushing iterations of this act in order to make it federal law, which no president can override with an Executive Order– by definition, an Executive Order applies only to the Executive Branch of the government, and has zero authority over the Legislative or Judicial branch

The anti-discrimination laws that Democrats created, passed, and codified into law are still in place! Trump’s executive order is not able to repeal it, which is specifically why the Democrats got to work, after President Johnson’s executive order, getting it passed as an actual law.

Trump’s executive order is a piece of political theatre. It has no actual impact on the law, it’s intended to signal that anyone who wants to break that law has the support of the Executive branch of the US Government.

But again, no big surprise that “Trump and his party try to do something evil, but are stopped because the Democrats did something right” is being spun as a failure on the part of Democrats by the smug white guy on the nazi-owned, nazi-operated social media platform for nazis, where he has a hammer-and-sickle in his display name! Good thing he proudly admits to being ignorant, because he clearly hasn’t even reached “schoolhouse rock” levels of proficiency in History and Civics

Star Trek IV is so funny because the writers were like ‘what if we set these fools loose in 1980’s San Francisco and have them break every single Star Fleet regulation, wouldn’t that be funny.’ And it was. It was the best movie to come out of the entire franchise.
