people who don’t wear glasses will never understand the absolute humiliation of dropping your glasses under your bed or in a dark area and feeling around on all fours muttering “my glasses…. where are my glasses” like fucking Velma Dinkley and thinking to yourself BOY WOULD THIS BE A LOT EASIER IF I COUKD FUCKING SEE
what a way to announce your skills issue anyway how long is y’all’s longest internet friendship, mine is 14 years
Looking at the notes on this, I’m seeing distinct clusters at approx 10, 15, and 20 years, with a smaller outlier clusters at 5 and 25.
I suspect that that reflects people’s ages and when they first got online socially, rather than anything about the longevity of the friendship in question.
Everyone’s out there making lifelong friends online, and we’re all just at different points in our lives with those lifelong friends.
People who try to copy historical writing styles don’t say enough weird stuff in them. I’m listening to a 1909 story about a ghost car right now, and the narrator just said he honked the car horn a bunch of times, but the way he phrased it was “I wrought a wild concerto on the hooter”.
Another thing that’s happening on other social medias. Shutdown315. It’s simple. Not everybody has the ability to participate, but if you can, you should. You should also spread awareness.

It’s an ambitious protest (even tho they say it’s not a protest). I will be engaging. This does mean no participation with anything that has advertising, at least not without an adblocker and paywall bypass. That said, if you’re using the internet, you should use Firefox, with the extension Ublock Origin and NextDNS.
We don’t have the infrastructure for this. A shut down like this means having enough food to feed everyone for months. It means having medicine set by.
I’m not saying this to doom. I’m saying that starting this kind of action without The ability to back it up makes the leftists doing it look weak. And we cannot afford to look weak.
