the solution to men withholding love and affection from each other out of fear of being perceived as gay is to remove the stigma around being perceived as gay, not to “no homo” male affection

You will (you should oughta) contact your representatives to call for immediate investigations into the activities of Elon Musk and Musk-associated “team members” in and outside of DOGE whose reckless actions and total disregard for the law and common sense are putting national security at risk in a way that directly threatens your and your representatives’ personal safety:
Actions taken by Musk and those in Musk’s orbit are creating vulnerabilities in federal computer systems that can and will be exploited;
Sensitive and classified information is already compromised;
Every minute Musk & co.’s actions continue unchecked, more vulnerabilities are opened as more unapproved, unreviewed protocols are introduced into more systems;
It is unclear what if any screening many of these people have;
Routine safety procedures are being bypassed;
Information systems used by members of Congress and their staff are at risk via improper access to and use of General Services Administration systems;
Their physical workplaces and all services they rely on that are managed through GSA are or soon will be rendered unsafe unless immediate action is taken;
China, Iran and Russia, already known for anti-US cyberattacks, in addition to hostile non-state actors, will exploit this and are no doubt already attempting to do so;
Vital infrastructure our federal government relies on to manage funds and resources and to coordinate and conduct virtually all its activities, including officials’ confidential communications and emergency management, is at extreme risk;
I was looking for local retailers that sell handkerchiefs because if I’m going to be dabbing at my eye for a few days I’d rather do it with reusable cotton than with tissues and here are my grievances:
Why are handkerchiefs only listed as men’s accessories at department stores? (At the ones near me, that I checked at?) Are women not supposed to used handkerchiefs? This is stupid. You’re stupid. Maybe I want to embroider a little ladylike floral motif on there. For a woman. (I don’t have such an embroidery project in mind right this second but that’s not the point.)
The reviewers on one product who complained about wrinkles. One person even alleged that people don’t want to have to iron handkerchiefs. Sir???? Ironing like one square foot of cotton is not that big a deal. Am I on dope? Are you on dope?
Literally just ironed some handkerchiefs today and it was fine. They are flat and nice now. If anything my issue with them would be that they are kind of cheap and could be nicer.
Also when you buy solid-color handkerchiefs in the men’s department apparently they come with subtle same-color detailing around the edges which really makes a person’s hopes for a little floral embroidery for a woman a little more annoying
antique and vintage shops are your friends. people have SO MANY handkerchiefs they’re trying to unload, since they used to be very commonplace and need frequent changing so you started the day with a clean one
also, linen will be more absorbent than cotton if you can find it! the gold standard for handkerchiefs
When I was a kid I had a book of like, “fun physics experiments for kids”. And one of them was an “experiment” where you hold an object by a string and just by focusing on the direction you wanted it to swing, it would start to move in that direction even without your input. The book of course explained that this was the ideomotor effect, a phenomenon where your thoughts can create minute, unconscious movements in your body.
Then a couple years later I got a fortune-telling kit that included a pendulum. You hold the pendulum over a piece of paper that says “yes” and “no” and ask a question, and whichever way the pendulum moves is the answer.
At which point I was like “hey WAIT a minute”, and in hindsight I think that experience explains most things about who I am as a person
dude no one fuckin commissioned me to do this i do terrible things on terrible whims at 2 in the morning
although… although i probably WILL add this to the new listing i’m throwing together this afternoon where I try to get rid of a big pile of original works…
