Things could change quickly, so you need to keep that option open. Now is the time to prepare, not act. Unless you are in immediately, and direct danger right now (not pending a court case, not that the social climate for our community is bad, immediate danger to you as an individual), you need to wait until something changes, sadly.
Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they’re technically a fruit when:
A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.

Updating the stuff for the German election. As noted: The Left Wing party is the strongest party among the youngest voters. However, our Nazis from the AfD are the second strongest. And looking into the exit polls by gender, it shows this:
Basically, the left wing party is so strong because of young women, but the AfD Nazis are so strong because of the young men.
And thinking of some of the studies I have read on BlueSky I cannot help but think about how young men do not want to go to university because that is a “girl thing”. Just as those studies also found that it is not that “universities make you left wing”, but rather “left wing people are more likely to go to university”.
And of course we kinda know why this is. Because young boys spend too much time listening to those Joe Rogans, and Andrew Tates and what not. But I really kinda wonder how the fuck one can reach those kids.
I mean, we know also that those right wing and toxic masculinity shit stuff makes men unhappy. Because they are being told they need to reach this one ideal, that right now is pretty much impossible for them to reach.

its a free open source software. i downloaded this as soon as the AI shit rolled around and i stopped using MS suite & google docs because i was fucking tired of everything being online, but now if MS is gonna start charging for shit that should be free, only the more reason to use other programs. i know microsoft can be a little hard to escape but this is at least a start
notepad ++ it’s free, it’s slim, it has tabs, notepad but better in literally every way, you can customize it with tons of plugins, it’s pretty much the standard in any IT company I’ve ever been at

I just spent three hours pulling up carpet and staples for a friend’s home renovation and we all did nothing but chat and joke and have wonderful conversation the whole time.
Helping somebody move or renovate or giving them a ride to the airport is functionally the same as going mini-golfing or playing a board game: it’s an activity that you do that is made more fun by having good company, and which provides something to talk about when the conversation lulls.
