I find it funny how reactionaries online think a Trump presidency will magically destroy the US while also turning it into a communist utopia? Somehow? When the far more likely option is what we see happening in other countries, with Trump leaving behind an absolutely gutted federal government and thousands if not millions dead for no reason and a country that will spend decades at least trying to pick up the pieces.
I genuinely think a lot of supposed leftists have fallen for the Christian insistence that Trump is the literal anti-Christ meant to usher in the end of the world. But he isn’t. He’s a deeply incompetent and selfish man whose main goals are making a profit, pleasing his more powerful “friends”, and staying in the spotlight. He’s not going to destroy the US or be the final straw the world needs to end all imperialism, he’s just going to kill a lot of people and completely fuck over vital services that may never recover.
