The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg called the Trump White House’s bluff, and published all the explosive details (paywall) about a private Signal group chat that, contrary to administration LIES, did indeed contain sensitive military strike plans.

They called him a liar. He posted the receipts.

Shit is flying.

an article from PBS that only has a snippet, but is not paywalled

Edit: here’s MSN, which has more details

Fully unpaywalled Atlantic here. Finally.

As a navy vet, who worked on an aircraft carrier, prepping and caring for F-18’s:

I am NAUSEOUS about the fact that these chucklefucks shared CLASSIFIED INFORMATION in a fucking SIGNAL CHAT. Completely terrifying. I wasn’t even allowed to take photos of our flight schedules (that didn’t even have mission names!) because they had lunch and landing times and yes, those were classified. They were Secret level information.

You know how my mom and I had to communicate about which month I was coming home from deployment? With freaking code.

Aircraft carriers regularly go into modes where they lock down all outgoing data and you don’t get internet access during those times. OPSEC is HIGH priority.

This BLATANT disregard for OPSEC is horrifying and should disgust EVERY active duty member and veteran in this country. It is sadly hilarious they dared even mention keeping OPSEC in that chat.

These people are a shame on this country.

(I know I don’t get like this often, I apologize)
