The chaos of the past month in contrast to the stability of the past 4 years should tell people that Biden and his cabinet were actually very skilled at running the government, but people don’t admit they were wrong about the Biden-Harris administration because sunk cost fallacy is a hell of a drug
I think it should be noted that Biden had extraordinarily little cabinet turn over in four years. Only two of his cabinet left, if I recall: Marty Walsh as Labor Secret to take a cool job, and Marcia Fudge at HUD (and she didn’t want HUD and didn’t like it). The rest of his entire cabinet stayed all four years.
By contrast, even Obama lost some cabinet members during the first four years.
I don’t have statistics to back it up but I’d wager that Biden had some of the lowest staff and cabinet turnover of any modern Presidency.
Because they knew what they were doing, and they were competent, and they were good at their jobs.
Competent presidents are “boring” though, people wanted excitement!
…and were promptly reminded within days why four years prior their top priority in a president was “boring guy who can Make It Stop”
