Bonus: Detail on the jacket from Joshua Kane (I hadn’t noticed the tartan):
David looks amazing, of course. But I cannot get over this jacket. The embroidered lapels with oak leaves and roses? The black-on-black tartan? The construction with the red visible at the seams???
Honestly, I feel like it was wasted on an award show stage. It needs to be admired from up close and from many angles, ideally in brighter lighting. All the amazing details got lost in a dark stage from far away.
What I’m saying is I am happy to be the person to admire it from close range. And if it’s on David, you know, so it looks right, so much the better.
