I love how professionally the interpreter communicates the emotions of being both disappointed by and sympathetic with your disappointment at Great Western Railway
genuine question: why have sign language and not just the text? isn’t text easier?
Not for all people!
Signing is more akin spoken language than written text. Which means Hard-of-hearing people who can‘t read (well) due to different reasons (too young, dyslexia, developmental delays, visual issues that make reading hard but allow to see movements, etc…) likely will still be able to understand signing even if they struggle with reading.
In my experience the train station helpdesks are often hard to find, so that would be a great help indeed. Even if its just catching attention that something is up – Important if you can‘t hear the announcements.
oh that makes sense! ty!
This is such a nice interaction good job everybody (except GWR)
I also love how many people got a Paddington jumpscare from this, good job guys (sympathies)
