I love how in Ladyhawke The Mouse is a lying liar who lies but the way he lies to the two romantic leads is all “he frequently told me you were the most amazing woman to ever live, he says you are the reason for his existence, and he spends every waking moment waxing poetic about his agony at the curse that keeps you apart from him.” (he mentioned her twice, and most of his time is occupied by keeping the three of them alive.) “She spent the entirety of last night talking about you.” (She spent ten minutes talking about him, she spent the rest of the night dancing with Mouse, engaging in friendly banter with him, and committing second-degree murder) he really did look at this couple who were practically married and decided to be their wingman for each other.
