I have absolutely no tolerance for this “it’s never gonna happen” attitude with Republican proposals and Trump’s executive orders. I saw people saying that when Roe vs. Wade was being debated and then it was repealed. I saw people saying that during the 2024 election and then Trump won. It’s a shitty attitude that lets people wash their hands of responsibility and bury their heads in the sand. Stop it.
Is it very likely that birthright citizenship will be repealed? No. Is it possible? Absolutely and that’s why Democrats are fighting so viciously to protect it and why immigration organizations are fully going on the offensive. When the people making these policies and the people actively defending immigrants both in court and on the streets are worried, then you need to be too.
