Some absolute dipshit was illegally flying their fucking drone over the Palisades this morning and one of the water-carrying planes (they fly over the ocean, scoop water, and drop it on fires) hit the drone. The plane now has a football sized hole in the wing and is grounded indefinitely until the fbi figures out whose drone it was.
Best part? The plane is very graciously on loan from Canada.

on the other hand I am so happy and proud to see SoCal residents stepping the fuck up. The pop-up food banks, food truck gatherings, animal shelters being flooded with donations, volunteers, etc.
In Pasadena, two dudes with a hot dog cart gave out free hotdogs, then it exploded into a massive mutual aid event. Completely organic. Californians showing up and showing out for each other. Amazing to see.
