What to know about the Amazon strike planned for Black Friday – ABC News

If you still shop on Amazon: don’t cross the picket line. No cash to amazon.com between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Don’t @ me about deals. You know there will be deals after Monday and right through Christmas.

Lesson one about Picketlines and Stikes: never boycott unless they’ve called for a boycott.

i clicked the link and did a quick Ctrl F.
There is no mention of a boycott on the pages text. Nor is there a mention in the video on the page.

The reason one does not boycott unless the union has actually called for a boycott is simple: Boycotts and Strikes might serve similar goals on occasion, but they work through diametrically opposed means.

A boycott is about denying revenue at Point of Sale, a Strike is about proving the value of your labour by showing how much things get fucked when they dont have access to it.
If you Boycott during a strike, your recuded demand for Amazon Product lowers the workload in the company. Which reduces Amazons demand for Labour and makes the labour seem less valuable.

A boycott during a strike generally weakens the strikers bargaining position.

If they have not called for a boycott. You do not boycott. ESPECIALLY DURING A STRIKE.
