“Many women are being pressured or threatened into voting as their husband wants”
and
“It is outrageous that it’s a thing and should not ever be a thing in a civilized society”
can co-exist.
This is where political pragmatism is necessary: we send the messaging needed to help as many people as possible to vote their conscience. And after this election is resolved, we keep working to make a world where such messaging is unnecessary because everyone is free to vote as they want, regardless of gender or family situation.
