we all rightfully talk about the princess bride’s revenge narrative with inigo but i actually think we should put more respect on miracle max’s revenge narrative. this movie is so pro-revenge the only reason they’re able to revive westley and get into the castle/rescue buttercup/kill rugen/stop humperdink is BECAUSE miracle max wanted to cause incredible misery for the prince who fucked him over. yes the power of love is what evades death and creates miracles but so does the power of incredible violence
